Making the Syrup: Combine the listed items in a saucepan, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool fully. Pour into a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it chilled, it can be stored for about one month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Mix all the liquids into one big jug, allow it to infuse for one hour, then strain preferably using muslin, to ensure it's completely strained.
To serve: Pour 85ml from the premix into your cocktail shaker containing ice, and agitate lightly for a minute to chill. Pour to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, top with a few cranberries and finish by giving it a brief mist with the mandarin essence above the glass.
