Cars in German Town Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Approximately 50 automobiles have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a official communication.

Officers state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored substance.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then found numerous other marked vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement say early analysis indicate the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no lead as to its source; investigators are presently not cognizant of any harm in association with the event," they added.

Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the residents for information.

A senior official stated the attack rendered him speechless and required to be resolved promptly.

"This event hits the core of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he posted on a platform, recalling the death of nine individuals by a gunman targeting individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
